Depression in the Key of Disappointment

May 12, 2011 § Leave a comment

It feels like walking out of the house

with trousers but no pants.

No one else can see your bare ass

but to you it’s a flaring babboon’s.

What am I going to do?

Another opportunity rejected, cursed, finito,

trampled over like a forgotten cigarette butt.

‘Pick yourself up!’

‘Life goes on!’

‘When one door closes, another opens!’

But remember, as with the metaphor above,

you have to take your trousers off

to put on a pair of pants.
